Kudos!

Each year the Educational Theatre Association honors individuals, schools, and theatre programs that exemplify quality theatre arts education. Award programs are open to active members of the Educational Theatre Association and the International Thespian Society. (For information on the application process, see the Awards page.) Educational Theatre Association Hall of Fame
This award recognizes EdTA members who have dedicated themselves to promoting educational theatre and who have given twenty or more years of service to this cause.

Founders’ Award

President’s Award
This award is given annually by the president of the governing board to an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the Association, president, governing board, or volunteer leadership. Prior to 1988 this was called the International Director’s Award.

Outstanding School Awards
EdTA annually recognizes a maximum of twelve high schools (up to three per region) whose theatre programs exemplify and promote high standards of quality in educational theatre.

Administrator’s Award
This award recognizes school administrations that have encouraged and promoted educational theatre.

Outstanding Student Achievement Award
This award recognizes a student who goes above and beyond the call of duty and exemplifies the ideals of the International Thespian Society.

This award honors a stage crew member who exemplifies Thespian Society ideals while working behind the scenes.
