Each year the Educational Theatre Association honors individuals, schools, and theatre programs that exemplify quality theatre arts education. Award programs are open to active members of the Educational Theatre Association and the International Thespian Society. (For information on the application process, see the Awards page.) This award recognizes EdTA members who have dedicated themselves to promoting educational theatre and who have given twenty or more years of service to this cause.

2007 Floyd Central High School, Floyds Knobs, Indiana; Indian River High School, Philadelphia, New York; The Woodlands (Texas) High School This award recognizes school administrations that have encouraged and promoted educational theatre.
2007 Jane Baker of Shades Valley High School, Irondale, Alabama; Michael Kemp of Gainesville (Georgia) High School; and Jerry Wilks of Lincoln (Nebraska) Southwest High School This award recognizes a student who goes above and beyond the call of duty and exemplifies the ideals of the International Thespian Society.
2006 Caleb Thurston, Troupe 2002, St. Helens High School, St. Helens, Oregon This award honors a stage crew member who exemplifies Thespian Society ideals while working behind the scenes.
2006 Avi Englard, Troupe 4856, Hillel Community Day School, North Miami Beach, Florida This award recognizes outstanding senior Thespians for their work with their troupe’s theatre program.
