Send two troupes to Festival

I remember every detail of my summer in Lincoln at the International Thespian Festival. I remember the atmosphere, the people, and especially the humidity. But what I remember most is the impact it had on me, and the other thousands of Thespians.

So why not spread that even further? Who says it should stop at just those who are able to make their way to Festival with more ease than others? That’s why EdTA is proud to present the Send a Troupe to Festival grant.

The cost of attending Festival can be quite pricey, and not affordable for many troupes. Last year, EdTA presented the first Send a Troupe to Festival grant to Troupe 7567 from West Virginia. Eyes in the Lied Center filled with tears as the announcement video played. Each student and adult recognized the impact this event would have on these students.

Send a Troupe is back again, and ready to create the same magic it did last year. EdTA wants to double that magic by sending not only one, but TWO troupes to the International Thespian Festival this summer. To do that, we must raise $20,000. As of January 2, 2013, we have raised $16,613. We’re so close, but not there yet!

What can you do? There are three ways to donate. You can give online using a credit card, mail in a check, or use Mobile Giving’s texting donation feature.
