Retired Georgia theatre educator Frank M. Pruet was chosen EdTA’s next vice president in an election that concluded this morning at the organization’s annual membership meeting. Members also elected Venice, California playwright Stephen Gregg and Lynn Jensen, a theatre teacher from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to three-year terms on the Board of Directors.
Pruet, who lives in Roswell, Georgia, will take office on August 1, 2013. After two years as vice president he will become the board’s president.
Gregg took office immediately, as a result of a 2011 amendment to the EdTA Code of Regulations that expanded the board by three members, and will serve a three-year term. Jensen begins a three-year term next August.
The voting members also approved a new code revision, altering the composition and some of the procedures of the board’s Nominating Committee.
