So that we may recognize our members for their outstanding contributions to their community through the Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat initiative, the International Thespian Society has developed a community service awards program. There are eight chapter awards, four kinds of troupe awards, and two different troupe team awards. You can see more details below.
To qualify for a troupe or team award:
- all troupes must be active ITS troupes (current year’s renewal dues are paid by October 15 of that year. This includes all “team” members.).
- the troupe must register, by the October 15 deadline, to participate in the TOTS-EAT campaign for that year.
- a properly completed donation verification form must be received by EdTA no later than November 7 of the collection year.
Chapters with active ITS chapters are automatically qualified for awards as soon as one or more troupes register to participate in the TOTS-EAT program and submits a valid donation verification form following their collection night. Why not set your sights on an ITS community service award for your school? Think how great it will look in the school’s awards display! If you haven’t already done so, register your troupe or team today. - Cornucopia Award: Most total weight for a single troupe.
